What is Men’s Health Week and How Can You Get Involved?

As men’s health week draws to an end, we’re looking back on everything that’s happened these past 7 days.

What is Men’s Health Week?

Men’s Health Week begins on the Monday before Father’s Day and ends on Father’s Day itself. Its 3 main aims are to:

Cities all over the world take part in the event by conducting activities all week long to improve men’s lives through better, healthier habits.

In Michigan, America, president of the MIU Men’s Health Foundation, Dr. Michael Lutz organised and took part in a 30 mile men’s bike ride for MHW.

In Chelmsford, UK, a Charity funded a stand-up comedy event ‘Don’t Just Sit there’, to help make light of a serious issue.

In Ireland, events such as Parkrun are encouraging those to bring a friend along for their run this week in support of men’s health.

Every year, there are also ‘Wear Blue’ days, health fairs and fundraisers.
